Jerry Watts Jr. is a multi-Grammy® winning bassist, educator, and producer who has served as Bass Department Head at LACM since 2005. Jerry has an extensive list of recording credits, worked with a truly eclectic mix of artists at the highest levels of pop, rock, jazz, groove, and world beat musics, having appeared on hundreds of records, numerous film/TV soundtracks, and in addition has a wealth of international touring experience. Educated at both William Paterson University, New Jersey, and California State University, Northridge, his recording/performance credits include work with: Andy Summers, Andy Timmons, Billy Childs, Dan Rosenboom, Dave Stewart, Dori Caymmi, Dr. John, Flora Purim, Gerald Eaton, Herbie Hancock, John Daversa, Justo Almario, Keiko Matsui, Keith Emerson, L. Subramaniam, Mitchel Forman, Myléne Farmer, Pat Leonard, Peter Cetera, Seay, Sergio Mendes, Simon Phillips, Steve Vai, Russ Miller, Tommy Walker, Toni Childs, Wishful Thinking, and Zane Carney.
