Eric Bell is a Southern California based keyboard player, composer and arranger. He is fortunate to be an active musician, working as a featured artist and with various other musicians, genres, and groups. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in three years studying jazz piano at Cal State Long Beach on a full ride, he was hired back the next year as faculty. He has worked with the likes of Brenton Wood, Phat Cat Swinger, Griff Hamlin, Marvin Smitty Smith, Jeff Hamilton, Bernard Purdie, Dead Man’s Party, the jazz Cartel, Pacific Standard Time, as well as many other well known bands and artists across the country. He has won the best soloist award at the Chicago jazz competition, won the piano chair position for Jeff Hamilton’s young artist trio, and has received multiple awards for his arranging and composing. He is currently one of the head writers for the Disneyland band Phat Cat swinger, and writes for many other small and large ensembles around the country.
