STEP 1: SEND YOUR DOCUMENTS

In order to receive an admissions decision, applicants must submit official transcripts from the school(s) that they have attended. International applicants may require additional documentation. All academic documents must be submitted in English and can be sent by email to [email protected] or by mail to the address below.

If your Final Official Transcripts are not yet available, please re-submit them once you have passed your graduation/completion date and before the Final Official Transcript Deadline for submission (see step #2 for your start term).

  • If the applicant has not yet graduated with a Bachelor Degree or higher, they must also request their high school to submit Final Official Transcripts or General Educational Development (GED) scores.

STEP 3: COMPLETE AUDITION & SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Complete page 5 of the application by uploading your audition materials. Each major has unique audition requirements. Please carefully review the requirements for the major you are applying to before submitting.

Please ensure that all uploads are clearly labeled.

To act in abundance of caution surrounding COVID 19, the following virtual audition options are now viable at LACM:

  • Upload Audition Requirements to the Online Application. OR
  • Audition LIVE via Zoom at one of the LACM Open Houses (September 19, November 14, or January 23) | Register Here

Both options are considered equally upon review. Whether you choose the upload or Zoom audition option, LACM highly recommends attending a virtual campus event or virtual tour to see if LACM is the right fit for you.

If you are interested in being considered for a merit-based scholarship, please answer the following prompt:

What are your career goals within the music industry? What obstacles do you foresee facing, and how will you overcome them?

Please submit a response of 750 words or more to your application. All responses should be attached as a PDF.

STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION

Once your application is complete, please submit the application. Upon receipt of your completed application, audition material and supporting documents, LACM will be able to process your application and provide an admissions decision. Priority Deadline students will receive admissions decisions by December 15 for Fall 2021 and Spring 2021 terms. Regular Deadline students will receive admissions decisions by April 1 for Fall 2021 and by March 1 for the Spring 2021 term.

Each year in August, the Admissions team hosts Accepted Student Day at the LACM Campus. This is a great opportunity to meet other students in the Fall cohort, get aquainted with faculty, and discover what it takes to pursue a career in entertainment.
