Ronald “Ronnie” Gutierrez is an accomplished and versatile Drummer/Percussionist with decades of experience performing, touring, and recording music worldwide. Ronnie has collaborated with artists in a variety of different genres such as R&B, Jazz, Latin, Classical, Orchestral, and theatrical live performance.

Ronnie has performed live concerts supporting top-level Recording Artists. Credits include concert and album performances with the following Grammy Award winning artists: Al Jarreau, Andrea Bocelli, Jeffrey Osborne, David Sanborn, Marcus Miller, Brenda Russell, Mariah Carey, Gladys Knight, Macy Gray, Natalie Cole, Babyface, George Duke, Poncho Sanchez, All for One, Clare Fischer, Michael McDonald, Bobby Caldwell, Michael Bolton as well as Dave Koz. THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH CONAN O’BRIEN ( Perc in the house band ) In Addition, Ronnie has performed with the California Philharmonic, Germany’s V.D.R. Orchestra, and Holland’s Metropole Orchestra and for The Oscars and The Emmys.

Ronnie also has formed his own group called the Ronnie Gutierrez Band and performed and entertained privately for VIP clients including: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Michael Ovitz, Rod Stewart, Sheri Belafonte and many more. What makes Ronnie a consummate artist is his ability to play quiet acoustic sets as well as the lively dynamic music one hears when he performs with his salsa band. He also enjoys sharing his love of music teaching community classes in the greater Los Angeles area for Remo Percussion Center.

Ronnie attended The Dick Grove School of Music in Studio City, California. His private teachers included Dick Wilson, Alan Dawson, John Perrett, and Jeff Hamilton. His first album entitled: “LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON,” explores Latin styles ranging from Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Latin Jazz, and Old School Salsa.
