Born in Houston, Texas Herman Matthews moved to Los Angeles, shortly thereafter started recording and touring with Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx, Tower Of Power, Timothy B. Schmit, Tom Jones, Bonnie Raitt & Taj Mahal, The Isley Bros., George Duke, Kirk Whalum and many more. Herman has one solo album under his name, “Home At Last”, and was voted #1 R&B Drummer by Modern Drummer’s Reader’s Poll in 1998.
