Garrett Smith moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to attend USC where he studied with Terry Cravens and Bill Watrous. Since graduating in 2002 he has had a busy freelance career which has led him to perform on the Grammys, the Emmys, the Kennedy Center Honors, American Idol and the Voice. He was a member of the house band on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for a number of years and has toured extensively with Stevie Wonder and Christina Aguilera. He joined the faculty of the Los Angeles College of Music in fall of 2017 and lives in South Pasadena.
