Hughie Stone Fish is a teaching artist, Emmy Award–winning songwriter/producer, music director, and performer whose work blends entertainment, education, and social impact. His music has been heard by millions around the world—on NBC, YouTube, and live stages—and his teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that with practice and a positive attitude, anything is possible. He is the co-founder and Head of Education at The Arts Project Syracuse (TAPS), a nonprofit that brings arts education each year to over 300 under-resourced students in his hometown. In 2025, student artwork from TAPS was selected to travel aboard a NASA-partnered shuttle bound for the moon—a powerful symbol of the program’s mission to help young artists dream beyond their circumstances. Hughie currently teaches Advanced Songwriting at the Los Angeles College of Music (LACM), guiding students through lyric writing, song form, and practical industry application. Previously, he taught and music-directed at The Second City for six years, mentoring emerging comedians and performers in musical sketch and improv. For over 12 years, Hughie has offered private music instruction both in person and over Zoom, mentoring students of all ages in songwriting, voice, piano, and performance. In 2020, Hughie won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Song for his work on a project exploring the history of antisemitism through animation. That same project earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing and two Shorty Awards for Social Justice. As a member of the musical comedy group Lewberger, Hughie has performed as a finalist on NBC’s Bring the Funny, earned a standing ovation on America’s Got Talent, sold out an Off- Broadway musical, and toured nationally to packed houses. His collaborators include Scooby Doo (with Ariel Winter), Brainwashed by Toons (with Jason Alexander), Keegan-Michael Key, Jim Belushi, and creators such as Quinta Brunson, Rhett & Link, and The Trills. Hughie’s own social media presence reaches over 50,000 followers and generates more than 1.8 million views per month, while Lewberger garners tens of millions of monthly views and engages hundreds of thousands of fans across platforms. Through a career that bridges comedy, music, education, and advocacy, Hughie continues to create, teach, and inspire—with heart, humor, and a deep commitment to meaningful impact.
