Daniel Seeff is a versatile electric and upright bassist, guitarist, writer and producer, the West Coast Director of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz and the host of ExcursionsRadio.

As a musician, he has performed on over 60 albums by artists like Jay Z, Eminem, Ledisi, Anderson. Paak, Kendrick Lamar and many others. He has co-written numerous songs including two Billboard top ten hits and has performed on movie soundtracks including Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

He is the Director of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance, one of the most prestigious jazz programs in the world. He also created and hosts ExcursionsRadio on KJazz 88.1 FM. The show connects the dots between hip-hop and jazz, playing hip-hop songs back to back with the jazz recordings they sample.
