
Jake Versluis is a Partner and A&R Executive at Position Music, where he contributes to the company’s A&R roster and heads up their music gaming initiatives. A seasoned expert in sync licensing, he has secured major music placements in massive global gaming franchises like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and League of Legends. His diverse background ranges from managing operational logistics for Incubus to educating the next generation of industry professionals as the author of Linkedin Learning’s ‘Learning Music Licensing’ course.
David Bason is the Head of West Coast at 7s Management, where he represents a diverse roster including The Devil Makes Three, William Clark Green, Wade Bowen, Jesse Malin, Hayes Carll, Theo Lawrence, and acclaimed producer Ryan Hadlock (Zach Bryan, The Lumineers, Vance Joy, Brandi Carlile). David began his career in A&R with roles at RCA Records and Roadrunner Records, where he helped discover and develop influential artists. His A&R credits include bringing The Strokes to RCA early in their career, as well as working with The Dresden Dolls, New York Dolls, The Cult, Blagk Audio, and Matt Skiba. As a manager, David has guided the careers of platinum-selling artists including Thirty Seconds to Mars and Flora Cash. He has also managed James Iha of The Smashing Pumpkins and songwriter/artist Justin Tranter. Outside of his work in the music business, David is an active musician, playing in the hardcore band War Orphan. He recently completed a European tour performing with Jesse Malin, bringing his perspective as both an executive and a working artist to every project he takes on.
