Pianist Matt Politano is one of Southern California’s most respected and in-demand musicians. Originally a trumpeter in the prestigious One O’Clock Lab Band at the University of North Texas, he later switched to piano and studied with Garry Dial at the Manhattan School of Music. His ability to explore music with artistry and imagination has led to performances with Benny Green, John Clayton, Chris Potter, Walter Smith III, Jane Monheit, Tom Scott, Nate Wood, and many others. Matt teaches at Mt. San Antonio College and performs with Jazz at Lincoln Center’s education programs throughout Los Angeles.
