
Edwin Livingston is a dynamic and musical bassist originally from Dallas, Texas, and he’s one of the most in-demand bassists on the west coast. In his various travels around the globe, he has played and recorded with notable artists such as Elvin Jones, The Headhunters, Los Hombres Calientes (Grammy nominated Latin Jazz album), Bill Summers, Ronnie Laws, Lionel Loueke, D.J. Logic, Otmaro Ruiz, Mike Garson, Russell Ferrante, Sadao Watanabe, Justo Almario, Dave Weckl, Tootie Heath, Queen Latifah, Vince Mendoza, Keiko Matsui, Seal, Natalie Cole, Thelma Houston – and many others. He holds an MFA degree in Performance and Composition from California Institute of the Arts, and is on the faculty at both USC and Cal Arts.
