
Fausto Cuevas Ill is a world-renowned percussionist, recording artist, and educator known for his electrifying stage presence, rhythmic precision, and deep roots in Afro-Cuban and contemporary percussion traditions.
Born in Brownsville, Texas, Fausto began drumming at age 11 and went on to study at the Berklee College of Music, where he was mentored by percussion legends Giovanni Hidalgo and Horacio “El Negro” Hernández. His musical voice-grounded in tradition yet fearlessly modern -has made him one of the most sought-after percussionists in the world.
Fausto has performed and recorded with a remarkable range of artists, including Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Lopez, Carlos Santana, Karol G, Julio Iglesias, Celia Cruz, Britney Spears, Al Jarreau, Queen Latifah, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Tito Nieves, and Sheila E. His career highlights include J.Lo’s Dance Again World Tour, the Las Vegas residency All I Have, Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life World Tour, and recording percussion for Karol G’s NFL Halftime Show.
