Bio
Born and raised in Chile; grewing up in a musical family is where he found his calling. Started his musical career at the age of 13, being the electric and upright bass his main instruments to play with. He studied formally at the Conservatory University of Valparaíso, Chile. At the age of 15, he was influenced by some of the greatest local jazz musicians like Gonzalo Palma, Jorge González Mancilla (Jazz radio host) and Bruno Riveros among others. He went on to start working with local bands in many different styles such as Jazz, Salsa, Cumbia, Pop, to refer some. By committing to his musical passion, he has had the opportunity to appear in television shows, played in several tours and recorded with many different artists. In 2008 he moved to the US to start his new beginning’s and in 2013 he decided to join The Los Angeles College of Music, formerly known as LAMA (Los Angeles Music Academy); for an associates degree in music.He currently works at the Los Angeles College of Music, recording and playing amongts the local scenes and has had the opportunity to play and work with top musicians like Justo Almario, Joey Heredia, Bill Bottrell, and Homayun Sakhi (Afghanistan master Rubab player) among others.
