Léo Costa, a renowned musician and producer, traces his rhythmic journey from the thunderous rehearsals of Rio de Janeiro’s carnival, where his father introduced him to the world of percussion.

He developed his passion for drumming, eventually attending Boston’s Berklee College of Music.

Léo’s versatile career as a studio and live drummer has led him to collaborate, as a musician and producer, with Grammy-winning artists such as Sergio Mendes, Natalia LaFourcade, Jason Mraz, Bobby Womack, Gretchen Parlato, Pharrell Williams, and many others. His extensive portfolio includes work in film and TV productions and performances on international stages. With a wide-ranging repertoire encompassing genres from funky grooves to samba and jazz, Léo Costa’s work is characterized by authenticity, inspiration, and soulful intelligence.
