2.7 Printz Board Social Calendar

Timeless music supersedes genres, borders, and eras. The impact and influence of two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and Parker Lane founder Printz Board reverberates worldwide. Since launching his career in 1997, the consummate musician has penned, produced, and powered smash hits in nearly every corner of the globe, lending his talents to collaborators ranging from the Obama Family to John Legend. With an ever-expanding and enduring catalog, he continues to deliver dynamic and definitive anthems by following an internal sonic wanderlust.

“When I’m writing, I remain receptive to where the universe is guiding me,” he explains. “Being open is the biggest thing for me. I always want to identify something different and open up a new valve.”

That’s a common thread throughout his illustrious career as well. Born in Ohio, Printz immediately gravitated to music, listening intently to everything that piped through his mom’s car stereo. He often sat for hours with headphones on, played organ, and learned rudimentary beatcraft at a young age. At 10-years-old, he picked up the trumpet. Rocking a “25-dollar trumpet with tissue stuffed in the third valve, he went on to win numerous local competitions and “play anywhere and everywhere possible.Upon his family’s move to Southern California, the budding talent entrenched himself within the Los Angeles scene.

Shortly after high school, one of his early compositions made its way to Snoop Dogg who asked for the record, but Printz recognized greater potential. “I thought if Snoop wanted my song, it must be a hit, and I’d rather have it for myself,” he grins.

Over the course of the next two decades, he emerged as one of the industry’s most sought-after creative forces. The recipient of two GRAMMY® Awards and two BMI Songwriter Awards, his co-writing and production credits span Black Eyed Peas’ “Where Is The Love?,” “My Humps”, and “Meet Me Halfway” as well as compositions for Mark Ronson, Selena Gomez, Macy Gray, and many more. Not to mention, he acted as Music Director for Rockin’ 1000’s performance with Andra Day in 2019. He has also toured with the likes of Cee Lo Green and Gray and performed on hallowed stages across the globe, including Royal Albert Hall in London.

Fully going global, he left his mark Down Under. In New Zealand, he achieved a prestigious TUI Award—the Australian equivalent of a GRAMMY®—for “selling the most singles in a year” for “Feel Inside And Stuff” from Flight of The Conchords. Additionally, he hit the studio with Six60 as producer. The band’s ensuing 2015 self-titled album, Six60, would conquer charts across the continent as each track exceeded 10-million streams and counting. Heading to another side of the world, he helmed production for Iceland’s preeminent band, STÜDMENN, empowering the group to maximize the potential of their “Polar Bear” style sung exclusively Icelandic. Plus, he’s producing music for Barbadian sensation Betty B.

During 2017, he joined forces with the Obama Family and the Chicago Sun to score a PSA entitled 31 Bullets: A Chicago Sun-Times Campaign to End Gun Violence. The piece notably garnered 16 award nods at Advertising Week of the Cannes Film Festival and took home two Lions Awards. Hyundai luxury brand Genesis enlisted him as Music Director in 2016, and he composed the soundtrack for six high-profile commercials watched by millions during Monday Night Football and the NFL Playoffs. He regularly expands his musical arsenal, playing eight instruments including ukulele now. As a true entrepreneur, he owns and operates two Los Angeles area restaurants.

In 2018, he launched critically acclaimed independent pop band Parker Lane. While tracks like “3AM” and “Speechless” lit up streaming services and radio, the group performed innovative shows on rooftops and in art galleries. Widespread acclaim quickly came courtesy of Hollywood Life, The Daily Country, MXDWN, All Access, Vents, MLB.com, and more.

With an evolving creative palette, the project remains extremely close to his heart.

“There’s an artistic freedom that comes along with Parker Lane,” he explains. “It’s a space for me to really push myself.”

He never stops pushing himself though. Printz will star in a forthcoming television show and hosts a weekly “Jazz Night” at West Hollywood hotspot Delilah. At the same time, he has more timeless music on the horizon and will for a long time to come.
