
Music and entertainment lawyer Bob Johnson has represented the likes of Sly Stone, Kamasi Washington, Chaka Khan’s band Rufus, Macy Gray and the Compton Cowboys, along with the renowned Sunset Sound Recording Studios.
Johnson has also produced documentaries about Rodney King (with director Spike Lee), Frederick Douglas and Huey Newton, the last mentioned winning a Peabody Award, and he produced sold out shows at Carnegie Hall and Hollywood Bowl for a production based on a Langston Hughes poem that featured the Roots, opera’s Jessye Norman and jazz singer Nneena Freelon.
